Our aim is for our faculty program to conduct research in the field of Religion and Basic Islamic Sciences within the framework of objective and scientific principles, to generate knowledge, and to share them at national and international levels; thereby educating knowledgeable, talented, and critically thinking individuals. The Faculty of Theology offers undergraduate education and research programs in the field of religious studies.”

The fields of employment for our graduates include teaching positions in primary and secondary schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education, where they can teach Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge courses as well as vocational courses in Imam Hatip High Schools. They can also work in various roles within the central, provincial, and overseas organizations of the Presidency of Religious Affairs, such as muftis, deputy muftis, religious affairs specialists, preachers, Quran course instructors, imams, and muezzins. If they continue their postgraduate education, they have the opportunity to become academic staff at Faculties of Theology. With the necessary qualifications, they can also serve in various public institutions, and if they specialize in Ottoman Turkish and Arabic languages, they can work in archives under the General Directorate of State Archives or in private archives.

Our faculty was established by the Council of Ministers’ decision numbered 2012/3763, published in the Official Gazette dated October 7, 2012, and numbered 28434. It commenced education in the 2014-2015 academic year and operates at the undergraduate level in three departments and eleven sub-departments: Basic Islamic Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences, and Islamic History and Arts. As of 2023, our faculty has 37 academic staff (3 Professors, 7 Associate Professors, 12 Assistant Professors, 5 Lecturers, and 10 Research Assistants), 6 administrative staff, and 6 cleaning staff. Our faculty campus is located in a new building completed in 2016, covering an area of ​​13,000 m². To ensure the best possible educational activities, the building is equipped with 2 lecture halls, 1 conference hall, and 19 classrooms, all modernly suited to current standards.
