A “Solidarity Concert with Palestine” was organized by our University’s Faculty of Theology in order to stand against the inhumane massacre in Palestine and to support Palestine.
Our Rector Prof. attended the program held in the conference hall of the Faculty of Theology. Dr. Şakir Taşdemir, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Rıza Bayrak, Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Prof. Dr. İbrahim Tüfekçi, Sinop Public Education Center and Evening Art School Director Turgay Altun, our academic-administrative staff and students attended.
The program started with the speech in support of Palestine by Miraç Torun, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Theology, and poems about Palestine were read by the Choir Lecturer, consisting of students of the Faculty of Theology. See. They performed works in segâh and uşşak maqams and melodies dedicated to Palestine under the conductorship of İsmail Işık. At the end of the program, certificates were given to 39 students who successfully completed the ‘Quran Recitation and Tasihih-i Huruf 1’ certificate program organized in partnership with SÜSEM PUBLIC EDUCATION CENTER. In addition, certificates of appreciation were given to our students who were successful in the Quran Reading Competition organized jointly by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Faculties of Theology.
